Rule Configuration Simulator

An illustrative exercise for understanding how a scenario rule is structured — parameters, thresholds, weighting, and a composite score that decides whether a case is flagged. Adjust the values below and run the evaluation to see how the pieces interact.

1 Define the scenario's parameters

Each parameter checks one data field against a threshold. Set the field, the comparison, the threshold value, and how much weight it carries if breached.

FieldOperatorThresholdWeight
This mirrors the underlying concept in most rule/scenario engines (AML monitoring, fraud detection, credit exception rules, liquidity breach checks): several conditions are checked independently, each carries a weight, and a composite score against a threshold decides the outcome — regardless of which vendor's interface configures it.

2 Sample transaction records

Five illustrative records the rule will be evaluated against. Values are fixed for this exercise so learners can predict outcomes before running it.
